Introducing
Field to Fork: Farmer’s Market Journeys
a documentary series dedicated to connecting culture and community— one story at a time.
Within food media, there’s a major gap in educating viewers on how to shop intentionally—how to navigate seasonal produce, meet local farmers, and understand how our everyday purchases affect our food systems.

Field to Fork is here to fill that gap. It’s a docu-series that starts at the farmers market and ends at the farm.
Each episode invites viewers to:
-
Discover the culture of a different local farmers market
-
Explore the land and story of one featured farm
-
Meet artisans, growers, and makers who are often underrepresented in mainstream food media

We’re here to empower audiences to shop with confidence, eat with intention, and understand the impact of buying local.

This is not just a show. It’s a movement to rebuild our food systems—one market, one meal, one story at a time.
Why It Matters

For over a century, convenience has distanced us from our food. When the supermarket boom of the 1950s hit, food became a commodity. Efficiency replaced sustainability.

Now, we’re facing a food crisis.
Supporting small farms is the solution.

But shopping local can feel overwhelming. Our series helps remove the mystery and reintroduce the joy of farmers markets—connecting communities through food and storytelling.
Our Vision
Field to Fork is hosted by private chef and culinary educator Gianna Stanley, whose roots in local food culture make every interview real and relatable. With cinematography by POWER UP Productions, a woman-owned creative studio, the show is produced with heart, purpose, and local knowledge.

Our model is lean, flexible, and already in motion.
-
Season One will be filmed entirely in Virginia
-
Each episode follows the same powerful arc: market → maker → meaning
-
Our long-term vision includes a Field to Fork Mobile Studio, a traveling production unit to explore markets and farms across the U.S.
-
We’re in active conversations with VPM for public media distribution.

How You Can Support

Field to Fork is more than entertainment, it’s a platform for economic development, cultural storytelling, and food literacy.

We’re inviting:
-

-
Collaborators to share stories, contribute content, and host events
-
Educators to bring this content into classrooms
-
Sponsors & Funders to support production, marketing, and national distribution
